Raspberry Pi data recovery

Sat May 30, 2020 7:07 am

I have such a problem that I don't get the system on raspberry pi 3. I have Rasbian Jessie uploaded and need somehow to get to the data that is in the system and on the memory card on which the system is placed. Is there any way to connect and run the card as e.g. a disk to rip this data? It would be best to do it under Windows or maybe with some kind of virtual box. I would be very grateful for any help.

Assuming you pi still works, download the latest Raspberry Pi OS (previously called Raspbian) and flash that on to another SD card.

Boot your pi using that, then place you old SD card in to a USB card reader and connect that to your pi, if you use the desktop version it should auto mount the partitions on the old SD card and then you can copy off the data you want.

Raspberry pi works because the system tries to get up, but some registers are being blown out and the system does not boot. Thanks for the advice, I'll check and let you know if it worked.
