External 3.3v regulator?

I have a RPi 3b (the newer one 2017) and the 3.3v regulator is blown.
I have a 3.3v power supply so can I just connect that to ground and 3.3v pin o the gpio headers?
Will that kill it even more or not?

Unlikely to work for a couple of reasons. One is that the various voltage rails need to come up in a certain sequence.
