Desktop preferences

Hi !
I've started a new fresh Buster, (used full-upgrade), but I cannot set any desktop preference (Menu/preferences Appearance Settings, or right click on desktop) !

menu -> preferences -> appearance settings -> defaults
select a size that matches your screen.

tried that. When selecting a diiferent picture (e.g. fjord), click OK, then call back Appearance Setting it is still the previous picture which appears selected !

a lxde quirk, you need to logout or reboot for changes to show and sometimes you have to do them more then once.
you didn't use root in your home folder, did ya?
i'm thinking if you you go into the file manager and show hidden(ctrl+h or right click> show hidden) go into .config and delete lxsession and maybe openbox then reboot, it will create again back to stock.
