Cannot get headphones to work after a new monitor.

Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:30 pm

So I lucked into a HP w2558hs monitor(1920X1200, 25.5 inch, dual HDMI ) for free. I am switching up from a Samsung 940BW (1440X800, DVI). For my purposes I really need to use the headphones. No matter what I do it seems to come through the monitor and there is no headphone jack that I can find on the monitor. The headphones worked fine on the PI4 when hooked to the Samsung. There may have been some tweaking done initially to account for the HDMI-DVI conversion(simply do not remember).

The only things not commented out in my config.txt are:

dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d
max_framebuffers=2
gpu_mem=512
dtoverlay=disable-wifi
dtoverlay=disable-bt
enable_uart=0
hdmi_enable_4kp60=1
dtparam=audio=on

I tried going through raspi-config and rebooting, no luck. I tried right clicking the speaker icon and switching to analog, no luck (analog and HDMI are the choices). I tried the:

amixer cset numid=3 1

No, effect. As well as 0 and 2
