Motion failing

Has anyone seen problems with Motion failing after a period of time - generally after 6 to 12 hours. I am running on a new 'made in the UK pi with the latest up to date Raspbian, running head less. There are no power supply issues and I have a powered hub. I have it configured to auto switch into tubo mode on demand. I had essentially the same setup running in Sept without problems on an earlier pi, with the only problem that the wifi dropped out a lot [This is now much better].

sorry forgot this is the error message "[1] v4l2_next: VIDIOC_DQBUF: EIO (s->pframe 3): Input/output error"

If you search the forums you will find that many people have problems with motion on the Raspberry Pi.
I would guess that this is due to the remaining issues with the USB-driver. I have been able to get motion to run stably by reading the output from mjpeg-streamer as input to motion, as I describe in this post:
