I have the issue that i cannot get my eth0 to work properly when Wifi is switched on. I have read
https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 63&t=88064 but this talks about Wifi switching off when eth0 is plugged in. Is the opposite, my case, also true?
Thanks,
Ton.

I dont know why you're having trouble with Eth0 and Wlan0
but in my RPi3B (this unit)
the Eth0 is used to connect to the "normal" network (IP address reserved on the main router) leading to the internet
the Wlan0 is used to connect to the "sensor" network (IP address provided by another WiFi router, not in any way joined to the main router), accessing my ESP sensor modules.....
I can access the internet (like this forum) and also access the "home page" of the ESP sensor modules....

The post you linked to is way out of date and likely irrelevant after 5 years.
Maybe you could inform what model of Raspberry Pi and Operating System ?

3B+ running latest Raspbian.
Eth0 and wlan0 connected to the same subnet. If eth0 would work, that is.
