Pi3 finds other WiFi hubs but not mine

As it says in the title it seems that my Pi3 can not find my BT Hub5.
It used to connect no problems but the last couple of days it says "WAN0 Not Associated".
I can see a list of other peoples WiFi servers in the area but my own is not listed.
Sat next to the Pi my mobile phone sees my WiFi and the same list of others, mine is the best signal strength on the phone display.
Any thoughts please.

Loose thought...
- BT has reset or reconfigured your router, put it in only 5Ghz mode maybe... ( havent bothered to check if Pi3 supports 5Ghz or not )

I would try a new card loaded directly with Raspbian (maybe even Stretch) just to see if it’s that card playing up for some reason.

See if changing the router channel helps

It would not hurt to power off the router and power it back on again.

Does the BT hub support a legacy mode (1-2-3). The EE version has the setting and I found dropping it to 2 helped a great deal. No idea what it is and the help desk could not help explain their so I tried it

Make sure the SSID is not hidden by your AP. If it is, either unhide it or add this to the wpa-supplicant.conf entry for the AP:

Code: Select all

scan_ssid=1

Is the country setting for WiFi correct on your Pi?

Never did find out what the problem was...
Checked all the WiFi settings including nationality - all correct.
Gave up and ran a cable in from an Ethernet hub just through the wall (cable pass hole was there for speaker cables).
A week or so later and after a system update (which may or may not be relevant ) I noticed that it was finding my WiFi server again.
Cable is in now and it should be a better connection so I'll keep using that anyway.
Still confused but happy now - thanks for your thoughts.
