Error counter increasing on ethernet interface

Tue Aug 27, 2019 7:42 pm

Anyone else see the errors on his Raspberry Pi4 with ethtool [1]?
I didn't found any detailed information what "mdf" errors mean, it doesn't seem to affect traffic, at least ICMP.
It looks like something in driver.
For me the error counter is growing around 120 hits per minute, with almost zero traffic on interface.
I found it, when I had issues with application on phone disconnecting from server running on raspberry.
