what happend so far:
1. i had trouble pairing LE devicies.
2. i deviced to: sudo apt-get --purge remove bluez
3. then tried this manual: https://learn.adafruit.com/install-blue ... stallation, see below

i did:

Code: Select all

cd ~
wget https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/bluetooth//bluez-5.50.tar.xz
tar xvf bluez-5.37.tar.xz
//

Q1: is ~ the right place for bluez in pi 2b?
Q2 am i missing an agent, package or else? what and where to check?
Q3: How to decide which bluez version is needed for 2B?
Q4: the path changed to https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/bluetooth/ appently, correct? so i did

Code: Select all

tar xvf bluez-5.50.tar.xz
cd bluez...
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y libusb-dev libdbus-1-dev libglib2.0-dev libudev-dev libical-dev libreadline-dev
./configure
make
sudo make install

PLEASE help me out... to set up bluetooth new correct, to use Bluetooth, hcitool, agent, and all again

Thanks so far_

Probably the best idea is to install BlueZ from the repositories:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install bluez
That will get you BlueZ 5.50 under Buster, 4.47 under Stretch.

The Raspberry Pi 2B ( both variants ) does not have on-board Bluetooth !

Raspbian Jessie is end of life you should be running the supported Buster..
