I wrote an Buster image to my WD 1TB USB Hard disk and my Pi3B+ boots ok, but when I try with Pi4 it hangs...
Any advice please.
You should be able to do it the old-school hybrid boot way.
Format an SD card with the FAT32 file system and copy the contents of the USB drive's "boot" partition to the SD card. Put that card in the system, connect the USB drive and fire it up. You should see some brief SD card activity, then the OS should load from the USB drive.
Automatic partition resizing will likely fail, so you will have to do that manually, and once it's up and running you should edit /etc/fstab to mount the SD card as /boot, so that kernel and firmware updates are correctly applied.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?
