Rasberry PI won't boot (Core Dump Failed)

Thu Jun 13, 2019 1:24 am

I haven't used my PI 3 in a long time, so when I booted it up again, I just got this:

"Caught <SEGV>, core dump failed"

The internet has ZERO explanations for this..

Please help!

Download and install the current release of Raspbian to replace that tired old OS?

Does look like the SD card is corrupted. Either re-image the card, or if you need data from this one, get a new card, image that then using a USB/SD card adapter get the old data you need off the original card.
