I'm a newbie to Raspberry Pi and having some trouble adding a printer, I've no doubt I'm making a really basic mistake but can't work out what and can't see a solution in past posts.
I have Raspberry Pi 3 model B and a Canon Selphy 1300 printer. I can find the printer and add it across the wireless network but when I try to print it says "cannot print incompatible images" on the printer. When I try to connect with USB, the printer won't even turn on - if I plug the USB in after the printer is turned on, CUPS just can't find the printer.
I've installed the latest instance of CUPS and I'm on Gutenprint 5.2.11. There isn't a driver for the Selphy CP1300, so I used Selphy CP910 which seems to be common.
Any help making this work would be hugely appreciated!
