Pi3 -flightradar24 & vnc in from iPhone

Sat May 11, 2019 8:16 pm

Help please
I’m a pi newbie new pi 3 with flightradar24 image. (Jessie) I think, all activated and runs fine. When connected to tv via hdmi can see flightradar24 status fine and if I vnc in with iPhone I can see screen exactly as it is on tv screen

If I remove hdmi and reboot and vnc in ( I do this then I move my setup to a different room where it is going to reside (no tv there) I get a different visual a slider bar that doesn’t seem to do much and no status in top corner.

I’ve read if pi is booted with no hdmi connected resolution changes???

Not sure what to do and how to fix advice please

Simplest way is open a terminal / console session and run

Code: Select all

sudo raspi-config
Advanced options / Resolution

Set the size you want in there and reboot if requested.

It may depend on the TV and the communication between it and the Pi as part of the start up so I’m not sure how to tell.

You could try

Code: Select all

xrandr | grep '*'
from the command line to see what it thinks.

Another useful command to find the current display settings is "tvservice -s".
