Updating "raspi-copies-and-fills" destroys my system

Mon Mar 11, 2019 8:19 pm

Hi!

I just tried to sudo apt update on one of my my raspis running the lastest raspbian with this:

Code: Select all

1 package can be upgraded. Run 'apt list --upgradable' to see it.
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
The following packages will be upgraded:
  raspi-copies-and-fills
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 8.372 B of archives.
After this operation, 6.144 B of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n] n
The update process didn't finish, it stopped, the error read something like this:

Code: Select all

subproces installed post-installation script was killed by signal segmentation fault
The Pi just stopped working, no keyboard input possible.

Hard reboot with power plug pulled and put back in the screen shows this, see picture attached.

My other Pis want to update to this, too, but i don't of course. So what's this update about and has anyone else here had this problem, too?

See viewtopic.php?f=28&t=235586

Was that the 0.8/9 or 0.10 update?

Thank you for getting back! As to which version of the update it was i don't know. I will watch that other thread from now on, sorry for the double-posting!
