Connecting Pi to Win10 Pc via Ethernet cable

Sun Feb 24, 2019 7:00 am

I have followed this tutorial https://notenoughtech.com/raspberry-pi/ ... errypi-pc/ to get the Pi connected via ethernet cable. I have assigned the PC and Pi static IP addresses.

Everything works until I reboot my PC at which point hey lose connection, I cant ping them from each other and it won't start working again until I reboot the Pi.

How can I make it work even after rebooting? I want to use this Pi as a Wake on LAN serverso it's pretty essential that it can stay talking to the PC.

Why not just setup Connection Sharing in Windows 10 ? therefore static IPs are superfluous !
Rather than negativity think outside the box !
RPi 4B 4GB (SSD Boot)..
Asus ChromeBox 3 Celeron is my other computer...

I have tried that, I set up static ips mainly to try to get the WOL working
