Why I can't use 2 usb hdd simultaniously?

Wed Dec 19, 2018 6:22 pm

I have Raspberrry Pi 3B (OLD version, not 3B+) powered by official power adapter (2.5 A)
If I connect one usb hdd, it's ok, but if I connect second one all of them start unmounting and appear with new device names, for example sda and sdb become sdb and sdc. I think it is pecause Raspberr Pi doesn't hame enought power to handle two disks simultaniously. Can this break my Pi physically and how can I solve this power problem?

Best idea is to use a separately powered USB hub to connect the disks to the PI.
