Question about Samba shares

Sun Dec 09, 2018 12:26 am

I have an NAS that I map on all my PC's to "Drive Z:". Great for temporary sharing of files. It was also mounted on my Raspberry Pi's. Everyone was happy.

Until the HDD on the NAS died.

I installed a new HDD on the NAS, but now, the Raspberries won't mount.

Here's the details:
Hostname: NST-600NU
Group: MSHOME
Shared Folder: \\NST-600NU\user
Permissions: DRW-RW-RW-
Username: user
Password: user

I have no problem using FTP or mapping to a drive letter in Windows File Explorer
But I can't mount it in Raspian. I get "Permission denied".

From the Command Line:
sudo mount -t cifs -o username=user,password=user,workgroup=MSHOME //NST-600NU/user /mnt/nst-600

In etc/fstab:
//NST-600NU/user /mnt/nst-600 cifs username=user,password=user,workgroup=MSHOME,users,auto,user_xattr,nofail 0 0

..then:
sudo mount -a

It's always the same- permission denied.

Any tips on what I am not seeing would be appreciated.
