Error whilst trying to setup pi 3 as wifi access point

Tue Oct 09, 2018 9:10 pm

I am following this
https://learn.adafruit.com/setting-up-a ... l-software
tutorial on how to setup my pi 3 model b as a wifi access point but when i run the command s

Code: Select all

udo /usr/sbin/hostapd /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
It comes out with this error mesagges:

Code: Select all

onfiguration file: /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf
Failed to create interface mon.wlan0: -95 (Operation not supported)
wlan0: interface state UNINITIALIZED->COUNTRY_UPDATE
wlan0: Could not connect to kernel driver
Using interface wlan0 with hwaddr b8:27:eb:3f:b0:51 and ssid "Pi_AP"
wlan0: interface state COUNTRY_UPDATE->ENABLED
wlan0: AP-ENABLED
but the website says it should look something like this https://learn.adafruit.com/assets/9031
I obviously see kernel failure and and interface stat uninitialised- i am awarre of these problems but i have no idea how to fix them and i also know there might be more problems
If you need to see any files please let me know.
As a raspbian noob this is really confusing, please help me.
