MicroSD card won't lock in
I have a Raspberry Pi 2B on which the microSD card won't lock into the slot, it just pushes out under spring pressure. Is there a simple fix or is the board now useless?

Re: MicroSD card won't lock in
if the latch or pawl is damaged, than you have a few choices:
1. hot-air rework station that may damage other parts with inexperienced operators
2. tape across surface and card
3. glob of hot glue (can be removed with heat from a desk lamp light-bulb)
The new slots on 3B+ do not have a latching mechanism.
Good luck,

Thanks Joel. It seems as though it's time to upgrade to a 3B

Re: MicroSD card won't lock in
You might be able to pull off the latch spring with some tweezers.

I used the tip of a ball point pen to press in the small tab on the card slot which I think locks the MicroSD card in and it seems to be working now
