Can access through SSH but not SFTP

Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:24 pm

Hi

I have 2 rpi and one is connected through ethernet and I can access it through SSH and FTP just fine. But just got a new one with wifi and I can connect to it through SSH but just getting timeouts when I try to connect via FileZilla. Anyone have any idea what I have done wrong?

If SSH works, SFTP should work correctly too. Both protocols are managed by the same openssh server.

FTP and SFTP are different protocols. If you wish to use FTP, you will need to install a NTP server package on your RPi.

I believe that the problem is related to the FileZilla config profile for the RPi #2. Maaybe FTP is selected and not SFTP.

With just SSH enabled you can use SFTP.
Use port 22 or sftp protocol (sftp://) when connecting to the server Pi.
