R Studio

I wish they had a beginner/Trouble shooting section. I think this should go there.
So I am new to Raspbian and Linux. The Add and Delete function, though similar to windows is a little perplexing.
I was looking for the latest version of R Programming and R studio. It took almost 30 minutes to go though the list of programs to find what I was looking for and didn't see what I would have expected. There wasn't just one option R Studio version 3.5.1.0 but about 5 or 6 different R program descriptions, none of which were the latest version that I was aware of. So I downloaded them all. Seemed simple enough. for what ever reason Raspbian stuck the program under Graphics, but it was there. I clicked on it to run and I got a plain text window and not the R console I was expecting. Did I not download something? Is this what R looks like on Raspbian or Linux? What about R Studio?

From what I gather, you would have to compile the source code to get the IDE working. Otherwise, it's a command line program on a Raspberry Pi.
