Geany stopped working after latest update/upgrade

Tue Jul 10, 2018 11:28 am

Hello,

I have using Geany modestly for several years now with various language flavors including Python and C++. I dutifully ran the update/upgrade cycle over the weekend. Now, Geany freezes during program execution after displaying the customary terminal window. The same programs run successfully from the command line. Even a very basic HelloWorld program with a single "print or cout" statement manifests this anomaly.

My platform particulars are:

Code: Select all

Linux hostname 4.14.52+ #1123 Wed Jun 27 17:05:32 BST 2018 armv6l GNU/Linux

Code: Select all

processor	: 0
model name	: ARMv6-compatible processor rev 7 (v6l)
BogoMIPS	: 697.95
Features	: half thumb fastmult vfp edsp java tls
CPU implementer	: 0x41
CPU architecture: 7
CPU variant	: 0x0
CPU part	: 0xb76
CPU revision	: 7
Hardware	: BCM2835
Revision	: 0010
Obviously this is some newbie error. I could not find anything related to this issue at the Geany web site. I wonder if anyone else has encountered a similar issue. Any remediation suggestion will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
