Many erros like : input/output error or bus error

Thu May 10, 2018 11:26 am

Hi everybody, i'm not an english native speaker, but to get more answers for my questions, i ask here ! :p
So, i've 2 rpi 3 and i've used them for a long time now,
but overnight, i've get some errors :/
i try different os like raspbian or ubuntu mate but it's the same,
At the starting, i can access at the desktop around one time in two, and after that,
if i can access at the desktop, when i use a powerful command like apt-get upgrade, it works, but after a few seconds, i get 3 different errors:
- input/output errors
- bus error
- E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1).
And on the screen, it's like a "freeze", i can't move the mouse and can't access at the different things of the system (like an OS crashed)

I've tried to change the ethernet cable, sd card, os (ubuntu mate and the latest version of raspbian) and the alimentation (the charger ?), and this phenomenon is for my two raspberries pi !

Ty for ur help,
Best regards

Most errors are caused by:

Insufficient power.
Corrupt or broken SD card,

The device is powered by 5V micro-USB. Exactly how much current (mA) the Raspberry Pi requires is dependent on which model you are using, and what you hook up to it. We recommend a 2.5A (2500mA) power supply, from a reputable retailer, that will provide you with enough power to run your Raspberry Pi for most applications, including use of the 4 USB ports.

If it worked well before that makes it more likely to be a hardware error, e.g. power supply or SD card. Both can fail.

I would also check that you don't have a fake MIcroSD card

Well SD cards do wear out over time and can fail suddenly, power supplies can also suffer failures especially if they have been worked hard and over heated.

You could also have suffered SD card corruption due to a failing power supply or even just a sudden loss of mains, you may not have even noticed if the mains voltage just dipped for a second but you SD card may have suffered because of it.

So just because your power supply or SD card were fine yesterday does not mean they are fine today.

I would try installing the latest raspbian on a fresh SD card and then boot with that I would also watch the red LED while your pi is booting to see if its flashing or going out during the boot process.

If the red LED stays on all the time then your power supply is probably OK, if the pi boots with the fresh SD card it would confirm your existing SD card is corrupt or faulty which is what the errors would indicate in your posted image.
