Power supply blue led flashing

Tue Apr 17, 2018 7:26 pm

I have a Pi 3 - been working fine for >12 months. Yesterday I found the led on the power supply plug Was flashing blue (flashing rapidly) and the pi was powered off and would not power back up. I unplugged the power supply and left it off overnight and then reconnected it today but it still just flashes blue and there is no power light on the pi itself. I cannot find anything in any documentation - any ideas?

Well I cannot say for sure. My Pi 3 power supply does not have a light on it, but I would have to guess that PS is toast. Time to get a new one.

You failed to tell us the most important detail.
WHICH power supply are you using?

Yes, that would have been useful I guess! It’s an ‘AC Adapter Model: PC-051025 Output: 5.1V 2.5A’ from MODMYPI

Reading this post on the modmypi forum https://forum.modmypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=765

suggests a flashing led on the PSU would indicated it failing.

I suggest you contact modmypi using the link Dougie posted.
