trying to install bitcoin core

Wed Jan 03, 2018 12:40 pm

I am trying to install bitcoin core, but there seems to be a problem with the make file.

I am following this guide here: https://github.com/Dcarns/raspberrypifu ... s/index.md

Code: Select all

./autogen.sh
./configure CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.8/include -O2" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.8/lib" --disable-wallet
make
sudo make install
When I try to run the "make" command, it fails because it says that there is no make file...hmmm. Any help?

You do realise mining for bitcoin on raspberry pi uses more electric than it generates in bitcoin revenue

That's only because mining a bitcoin is now a computationally impossible task for a raspberry. You're not going to get anywhere near without some massive banks of power hungry ASICs.

A raspberry pi costs £5 to run for a year which ain't going to break anyone's bank.
