Also, interface config of Ad-hoc host:

Code: Select all

5: wlx001ee5e941b7: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 00:1e:e5:e9:41:b7 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 10.42.0.1/24 brd 10.42.0.255 scope global wlx001ee5e941b7
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
    inet6 fe80::41fb:9d72:4d53:a93/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
and the smartphone gets an dhcp address of 10.42.0.111

Has anyone else at least had success with doing so?

When I create an adhoc wifi network on my macbook Pro, I cannot see it on the Raspberry Pi Zero W. Is there a way to make this work?

Raising an old thread is not wise due to change in software :lol: it’s known as a Zombie thread... esp as the OP has not been here since Feb.

Re. The network you created on the MAC. - was it 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz as the Zero W only supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN on 2.4Ghz

Sorry, you are right. I should create another thread. The Mac creates a 2.4Ghz network which I can see on other devices but not the Rpi0.
