RPI3 WiFi only showing 5 access points, but not one I need

not in front of the rpi3 at the moment.

Updated raspian, everything is up to date.

Was attempting to help a friend in a coffee shop getting his rpi3 updated, etc. The local coffee shop had/has a WiFi router for their customers, but when trying to find it, via network manager, it never showed up, and I never saw a "more" button/tab.

What do I have to do next time to get the WiFi router to show, especially when we know the name of the router, etc.

Thank you

Check the wifi type (a/g/n/ac) band ( 2.4 GHz or 5GHz ) and channel 1 - 11 (or 13).

The RPi3 is 2.4Ghz only. Channels might be restricted based on which continent you have configured it to be on.
