Wifi drops out (with syslog error)
Posted: Sun Sep 30, 2012 5:03 pm
I have a Ralink 5370 based USB Wifi adapter and i've tried it with and without a powered USB hub. Even with the powered hub it's dropping out semi-randomly (after a number of hours). I've tried switching off power saving, the output of iwconfig is below as well as syslog.
I setup a periodic 30 second ping to my local router to try and keepalive the underlying connection and it still goes down.
The syslog at the end shows things being lost then 'Link beat lost' followed by ifdown. It doesn't recover from this.
I've seen a few similar threads but nothing in them i've tried works.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
