openvpn nordvpn setup connection problems

Sat Apr 29, 2017 9:29 pm

So i just purchased a raspberry pi 3 and set it up and realized that i wanted to get a VPN service for more privacy. I bought 1 month of nordvpn and went on their website and did the install. I noticed that they do not have an installation guide for rasbian. They have the Debian, wheezy installation guide which i followed. When i get to the part about editing the nameservers and after ctrl x, save, and reboot upon reboot my connection to the internet is gone. After that i reboot and my nameserver settings are set back to default . I need to know if nordvpn setup on their website works with rasbian. Can anyone help ?

I have tried this guide but I think the issue is with editing nameservers and getting them to not revert back to default after reboot and or a combinaton of this and administrative privileges. I would appreciate it if an expert could help me out.
