Stretch kill wifi, bluettoth rpi3

Fri Mar 31, 2017 3:24 am

Hi,

I wanted to install the latest version of bluez and followed this instructions in order to install bluez from stretch: http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/a/59436

With stretch enabled I did a: sudo apt-get upgrade, that kill raspbian.
So I formatted the sd card and make a clean install. But the wifi adapter and the Bluetooth adapter don't work.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thanks

executing dmesg gives:

Code: Select all

mmc1: error -110 whilst initialising SDIO card
and ip a doesn't show the wifi interface

I don't remember where I read that, but when you upgrade Raspbian to Stretch, you may loose the firmwares for WiFi and Bluetooth, a matter of license or something like that, anyway.

Try to download the firmware and copy/past them in the corresponding locations:
lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin
lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43430-sdio.txt
lib/firmware/BCM43430A1.hcd

As I made a clean install I have those files in my systems. Nevertheless, I downloaded from github those files and replace them but it didn't work. Both wifi and Bluetooth adapters not found.

Why did you replace them?
The ones coming with fresh install work fine.
