i can connect using ssh .....

I can connect to the pi3 with ssh, however I can not figure out why its not showing on my network.. I have installed samba, however , when I go to the /ect/samba/smb.conf file its blank no configuration settings in there.. I have no clue what to do ..

Hi.

The config file is located in "/etc/samba". NOT "/ect/samba"

you need to add your file shares to this file, you also need to set up a user.

if you do a google search for setup samba on pi you will gets lots of results.
