No OS to boot

Sat Mar 18, 2017 2:30 pm

Hi,

I've tried two different Pi 3 model B. Trying to install NOOBS. with two different SD cards. One 8GB formatted by SD formatter following the pi instructions, the other is a pre formatted card bought from Pironomi with the NOOBS ready to go.

The first card finds raspiban and tries to insall, then when it goes to 'which OS to boot' There are no choices; the window is blank.
The second card doesn't get that far and a dialogue box comes up and says files are missing?

Can anyone help? I'm using a Samsung Mobile micro USB adapter. Do I need to connect to the internet to boot?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ian

what power supply are you using ? do you have a good power cable ?
This can be a problem with the power supply.

Thanks for that Ernst!

Yes it worked! I've been racking my brain for a few days now :?

I put a powerd usb to both the screen and the board and that solved it.
