3g Dongle connected and working but....

I have bought a 3g dongle, Huawei e3256. Actually it was working out of the box. Just plug it in and access 192.168.1.1 and then i could see the configuration files.
I could see here that earlier versions of the raspberry pi didnt support it out of the box.

My problem is that i am trying to setup gammu, to be able of sending and receiving text. Gammu requires me to input a path to the usb dongle, but when i look in /dev/ i dont have anything called USBttyX as i should. When i look in my usb folder, I have a device called hiddev0 but that is my usb touch screen. So how do i find the path to my usb dongle so that i can setup gammu? I dont know if the usb dongle is setup wrong, as it works as an eth1. I can see that i can connected to the internet through the dongle, but i dont need that. I only needs to be able of sending and receiving SMS through gammu.

I really hope somebody can help

Boot up without the module connected.

Code: Select all

dmesg
Plug module in and do

Code: Select all

dmesg
again and post the last 10 or so lines
