Installing images using Windows 10

Mon Feb 27, 2017 2:07 pm

Unable to burn images to SD card while using Windows 10. Win32imager gives an error that it is not able to write to the card. I run the app in admin mode and tried different compatibility modes but no go. Any one else having these issue with Win10?

personally i've never had a problem using win32diskimager on win10 however i moved over to using resin.io's etcher a while back and had no problems with it at all and I believe that etcher is now the recommended software to use to create sdcards for the Pi on macs, windows & linux

Even on Linux? whats wrong with dd - a standard part of the system, so no need to install anything. Its been around since the dawn of time so very well tested.
