Powered USB hub

Fri Sep 14, 2012 9:54 pm

Hi,
I'm looking for a powered USB hub.
The only reason is to connect an external Hard Drive to the raspberry.
Already tried 2 powered hubs, with no success.
I'll be happy if someone can give me a model that will work for sure.
Thanks.

Verified=comes with a decent, non-horrible-Chinese power supply. So yes, should be able to power a hard drive.

I've had success with the Belkin F5U706.

Slightly off-topic note: I wish there was a more sophisticated feedback system for the verified peripherals page that would allow people to give details of what items they tested the hub with and such (well you could put all of that info on the page but that would cause alot of clutter, perhaps a separate page for each device?) I recently ran into the issue of a particular hub that was listed as compatible that worked with some devices but has issues with others.
