Powered Hub Recommend (UK)

Fri Sep 14, 2012 9:16 pm

Just wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a powered USB hub for use with my Pi. Just two considerations:
- I would like to use it to power the Pi as well. One power socket used for the hub and Pi together. I understand 700mA is needed minimum, and that may mean a USB 3.0 hub for the increased current which means more expense, but if so then OK.
- I am in the UK, so a lot of the hubs on the problem/not problem list are strange and alien beasts to me (LogiLink?) or get really poor reviews.
So, anyone actually used a decent hub that can also power their Pi? This is going to be on 24/7 for weeks at a time, stability allowing, so spending a little more for a decent one woukd be fine. I have tried searching the forum first but can't seem to find specifics.

Yep, exactly that list. Either US-only (so difficult or unnecessarily expensive to find in the UK), or less than stellar reviews. Thanks anyway, though.
