Pi3 Model B + WaveShare 7 " LCD Touchscreen

Hi,

My setup is Pi3 Model B + Raspbian + WaveShare 7 " LCD Touchscreen Rev 2.1.
While movies/videos play pretty well when connect to my HD LCD TV , I get neither picture not sound when I hook up to the Wave Share LCD 7" Touch Screen. The screen slowly blacks out and does not come back up.
The videos from YouTube or from my HDD are of 720p or 1080p quality.

Is there any setting on the PI that I need to do ?
The Rasbian and touch all work fine with the screen , even KODI work as expected, but videos do not.

Can anyone guide me ?

Please supply a link to the waveshare screen. How is it connected to the Pi ?@
