1. Does my charger supply enough? It is 5 volts and 1 amp. If not, what do I need? I will not buy the Pi Hut's ridiculously priced power supply.
2. Does a Kindle 3's work? It is 5.5 volts.
FYI: Multimeter reading (with Palm Trio): 4.99
Thank you!
Ah. I see. Win32 Disk Imager isn't working for me though. The device is blank. Also, how would I use "dd"?JeremyF wrote:No green light = SD card not img'd correctly
No idea about "dd". But Win32 disk imager can be picky about SD slots, or your machine's SD slot is picky about SD cards.jeff wrote: Win32 Disk Imager isn't working for me though. The device is blank. Also, how would I use "dd"?
'dd' is a Linux command, not available in Windows.jeff wrote:Ah. I see. Win32 Disk Imager isn't working for me though. The device is blank. Also, how would I use "dd"?JeremyF wrote:No green light = SD card not img'd correctly
I do realize "dd" is a bash Unix command (not Linux, get your facts right), because I also have a Mac, if that is needed. My card reader does support SDHC, but I don't know about Win32 Disk Imager...drgeoff wrote:'dd' is a Linux command, not available in Windows.jeff wrote:Ah. I see. Are you sure that your SD card reader slot supports SDHC cards?
Whilst we're in uber pedant mode, "dd" isn't much to do with BASH either.jeff wrote:
