Like the topic says, I'm getting the dreaded lightning bolt after hooking up the official touchscreen. I have nothing the USB ports, but use a Bluetooth controller...I thought maybe it was the PSU, even though I hadn't experienced this before. Same problem. So I dug out my raspi1 and the official hub you could but, rated at 5.2v 3a.... Still getting the lightning bolt.any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Your power supply is lying or the USB-A to microUSB cable is not up to standard or the hub may be limiting the current to 500mA.

My B+ and touchscreen needs a dual PSU with separate cables. Each outlet rated 2.4A, though I don't think both are that heavily loaded. I could not get a single PSU (up to 2.4A) to work, even when the PSU works well with a Pi3.

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, you used the micro USB ports on both, instead of gpio?

Yes, two microUSB cables to separate ports on a dual USB supply. No GPIO power connections.
