Display not detecting RPi (solved)

Tue Sep 11, 2012 9:55 pm

Can anyone help?

I have an HDMI to DVI cable going from my RPi to a Philips 192e1 display. The display doesn't detect the RPi...

I have OS installed on the SD card, I've followed the instructions and have variously turned off monitor and Pi in order to get them to register... no luck. and I can't find anything on the forum that helps me.

thanks

Did you try hdmi_force_hotplug=1 in config.txt?

Thanks Jeremyf

I haven't tried that, and I don't really understand what you mean. I can't see anything my RPi is doing so can I do this (however it is done) via a pc?

Cheers for your patience
