Using Chromium browser version 51.0.2704.91 to open the following Amazon url crashes Pi 3 running raspbian jessie with kernel 4.4.34 and 4.4.38 completely.

Steps to reproduce symptom,
1) Launch Chromium browser and open the following url,
https://www.amazon.com/ThinOPTICS-Anywh ... cec9abfbf6
2) Roll the mouse cursor over the thumbnail picture at the top left
3) The display will turns gray suddenly, after about 10 seconds the display goes blank and the system is crashed, you cannot ping nor ssh into the system. Must reset power to recover.

Other browsers tested,
1) Minimal Kiosk Browser (GTK 3) version 1.7.4 is fine.
2) Firefox ESR version 45.6.0 is fine.


* For anyone care to try, make sure you close all other applications first so you don't lose anything important.

Yepp. Happened to me just as you said. No idea why it happens. I had to cut power and reboot. I go to Amazon quite often but have never seen that behavior. I'll try it on an x86.

Edit: Intel x86-64 quad core on linux mint 17.2, ff 50, no such problem.

Confirming this problem is fixed in Chromium Version 56.0.2924.84
