OSMC issues. Need Help!

Fri Nov 04, 2016 10:13 am

Hi folks. Just set up my pi3 last night. I'm having issues in OSMC. They are as follows:

-Cant figure out how to play Netflix
-After watching several videos on Youtube, it says my daily limit has been reached? Can't watch any more.

How do I get around the daily limit, and why is there one? I thought Youtube was free. It never gives me this message on my Win 10 PC's.

Also, I'm desperate to get netflix working on this thing, even if it isn't through OSMC. I tried to install KODI on top of Raspian but the video playback is screwy. Not sure if you can even get Netflix on Kodi.

I also tried the epiphany browser because I heard it has HW video support but that ran choppy. Worse than Chromium. Please help me!

Thanks! :?

Thank you. I think I understand the youtube thing after reading it but I was unclear about the netflix workaround. Also on that forum string people are saying netflix still runs choppy?

Can anyone clarify and maybe offer step by step instructions? I have only ever used windows and I am in deep water with the rpi...

Hallo folks,
is there any progress in this netflix nightmare? At least the Pi 3 OS Pixel comes with preinstalled chromium.
I'm following this and other threads quite a while now but haven't read anything yet about a breakthrough solution.
Besides this thread I follow (may that helps others):
  1. Linux: [Tutorial] - Chromium & Netflix (and another DRM video websites)
  2. How To Easily Enable Silverlight, And Watch Netflix, on Linux
  3. KODI: [RELEASE] NetfliXBMC - Unofficial Netflix Add-on (Win/OSX/Linux) - Thread 2
  4. Reddit: Is there a way to stream netflix on the raspberry pi 3?
  5. GitHub: Netflix on Raspberry Pi (incomplete)

There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't.
