Downloading Raspbian Wheezy onto an SD card

Mon Sep 03, 2012 10:50 am

I have downloaded Win32DiskImager and the Raspbian Wheezy onto my computer. I then insert the SD card into the SD card slot on my computer. I run win32diskimager and it can find the image file but no dropdown comes down to find the device. What can i do to load the Wheezy onto the SD card?

Sometimes Win32DiskImager doesn't play nice with built in SD card slots. You can an other programs as described here:

Or buy a USB reader or run Linux or Mac OS X or something like that
{sig} Setup: Original version Raspberry Pi (B, rev1, 256MB), Dell 2001FP monitor (1600x1200), 8GB Class 4 SD Card with Raspbian and XBMC, DD-WRT wireless bridge
