Network issue with Model B

Wed Oct 12, 2016 1:36 pm

After some time I re-started an old model B.

Preparing the card with latest Jessie was easy, so I could fire up the old iron.

Now I am having a major issue about networking

- Ethernet (and wireless) connection is lost after a short time and there is no way to have it up again, unless I reboot the machine. I saw some services connected to networking being in the exited status

Same OS is working great on a Model Pi 2 created with same image (no issues at all, also wireless card is working great)

Do you use the same power adapter in both cases?.

Try to use another power adapter in order to verify if that element is the origin of your problem.

The same power adapter, and changed many of them.

I forgot to say I had no problem with the old Raspbian and that lights are all on (I mean the green led for Ethernet) ....

Tnx for your help

one more hint, when I lose connection, after a while it comes back again and in the meantime keyboard layout is swirched from the original italian layout to the standard US layout.
