CamJam & GPIO Help

Sun Oct 02, 2016 7:55 pm

Hello! I got the CamJam Edu Kit as starting point to try out the GPIO features of the Pi but whatever I do, I can't get it working.

After deciding that I might be misreading the worksheets, I resorted to using this guide with the code here: ... -gpio-pins but again, I can't get anywhere.

If I go through the interfaces and enable SPI and leave the circuit in the above example wired up, the LED goes on and stays on once the Pi is powered and nothing I can do (except for disable SPI) turns it off.

I've just updated to Pixel and working through remote desktop access or directly on the Pi doesn't change anything.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

I'm Mike Horne, one of the creators of the EduKit.
Sorry you're having problems.
Can I suggest starting with a new copy of the newest Raspbian and then we'll go from there? It's possible that something you've got running or configured is causing a conflict.

If you'd like to take this to email, please send me a message at [email protected] and we'll work through the problem that way.
