Keyboard Errors

Hello,
I just got my Pi (Board B), and everything works out of the box, except my keyboard.
The Keyboard:
Microsoft Wireless Desktop 2000 Mouse and Keyboard combo
I plug it into the Pi, and it gets recognized, and works, except that some of the keys repeaaaaaaaaaaat and so does the backspace. This makes it extremely hard to type, especially to log in. I even bought a powered usb hub, in case the problem is caused by the usb receiver pulling more than 100mA from the Pi. This fixed the problem a little, but I am still wondering. Is this common? Can I fix it? Is the problem the Pi, or the keyboard?
Please Help!
Thank You

Keyboard get yourself super cheap wired USB.
If you want a quick access till you can get your hands on a keyboard consider the ssh route
There's some stuff in the wiki re Blind Login for Noobs (Don't take offence if you are from the geek end of the spectrum)

Link to get you in the right direction note this is valid for the latest Wheezy and a lot applies to Rasbian

You are using a keyboard with know problems. No there is not a fix, other than playing around with the fuses and such to get more power to the USB ports. I suggest you read the Verified Peripherals page, look around the forums and Google before blindly selecting hardware; it will save you a lot of grief.

I have to agree there is no substitute for consulting the verified list. With that said I have mulitple keyboards and mice lying around all wired all the cheapest available all bought from UK supermarkets and all working.
The two keyboard mouse combo's I have that are flaky in operation are a Logitec wireless and Microsoft wireless.
Now found a third combo made by Belkin same results.
They all work but with intermitent reliability.

Apparently, the wireless keyboards have more problems than the wired ones.
It's a problem with the pi usb stack. It's being worked at, but some doom thinkers (including me) are afraid it will never get fully fixed. If you have enough free time, read the Elephant thread about the progress on usb things.

There are a couple of issues like this I am going to flag up on the wiki noob pages that may just help reduce some of the traffic here.

Thank you!
I have now hooked up a wired keyboard and a wireless mouse separately, and they both work great.
