3D audio amplifier input vol. is 3.3v. Can it damage the pi?

Hello guys, I have Raspberry pi3. I used 3D surround sound sytem for audio amplification. Before using it i connect other amplifier to HDMI-VGA conv. with audio which output is very good. I use my mobile to listen music in 3D surround sound system in which audio output is in 3D effect. My problem is the AUDIO INPUT voltage at 3.5 mm connector in 3D surround system. I checked its INPUT audio voltage which is 3.3v . Then i did not connect it to pi3 as it could be damage the pi ! Is it safe & normal to use with pi ?? On other hand i listen it (3D surround) with my mobile flawlessly from a long time. Friends plz help me . Thanks in advance. :?:

There is a capacitor in series with each of the Pi's audio outputs, so in theory there should be no danger (though I take no responsibility for what actually happens!)

It does seem odd, though, that your sound system has any voltage on its inputs.

Sounds like a microphone input. Many of those provide a few volts for an electret mic. (To power the FET).

If it is a mic input, the audio from the RPi will be much too large. May not cause any damage, but getting usable audio quality will be more difficult.
