Pi Zero + USB RJ45 + NOOBs: How to get a network connection?

Hey,
I use a pi Zero with a Mini USB Hub and integrated RJ45 network.
If I boot raspbian it works fine.
But: If I insert a Noobs SD 1.9.2 then noobs will start without offering any further OS than raspbian. These others OS should become availableif the system is connected to the web.
The usb hub has a red led built inside which shines if the cable is connected. It shines red if noobs is starting but it won`t work cause noobs does not offer any other OS.
But if I put a usb wifi dongle in the usb hub and if I configure that wifi network under noobs thenall other os will be instantly offered.
Might that be a driver issue?
Thanks for your support
