Pi3b block on splashscreen

Hello, i received my p3b today but it wont boot. The led is red and it s always displaying the splashscreen.
Raspbian (jessie) doesn t boot.my raspbian date on september.
Do you have any idea ?

If your image goes back to September (and was presumably in an older Pi), it could be because your OS needs upgrading.

If so, put your SD card back in your old Pi and upgrade using:

Wait, Does this have NOOBs? I wasn't aware the Pi shipped with a installed OS (other than NOOBs).

Lot of users are complaining of similar issue with non-bootable devices...they all seen to have newy obtained Pi's with NOOBs preloaded.

Starting out on a Raspberry PI 2B, I upgraded from wheezy to jessie. I then took the microSD card out and placed it into my Raspberry Pi 3, and I get the ROYGBIV splash screen, no boot. I am using HDMI display. The Pi3 I bought did not come with a microSD card, so I figured I could just swap out after upgrading wheezy to jessie.
This morning I am approaching this with the idea to start with fresh microSD card, and do a fresh install of jessie. I will post my results later.

In my opinion, you are unable to use an OS that started out on Pi2, and run it on a Pi3. At least that is what my experience with it told me. I spent the time to upgrade wheezy to jessie, then swap the microSD card, and no go.
A fresh install of jessie is needed. Here is how i did it without using noobs.

1) Obtain the flavor of jessie that you want, full or lite, from the following link
https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/

2) Format your microSD card for FAT32.

The following is for Windows install.
3) Using the image mounting tool, Win32DiskImager, mount the img file to your microSD card.

4) Place the newly loaded microSD into your Pi3 and power it on.

Yes that s it. I used an old version of raspbian jessie.
After downloaded the latest the problem is solved. Thanks
