Pi3 and Rii bluetooth keyboard won't reconnect

Sat Apr 30, 2016 6:24 pm

Hey there,

I have a Raspberry Pi 3 with Openelec and Kodi for watching movies and series.
i bought this keyboard which has bluetooth installed instead of the 2,4 ghz receiver and connected it with the inbuild bluetooth of my Pi 3.
http://www.amazon.de/Rii-Touchpad-Maus- ... B019C5IOI8
Connected and trusted. everything works fine but after a little while like about 3 minutes the keyboard goes in sleep mode and should reconnect automatically when pressed any key.
in the bluetooth settings of openelec it says it is connected, also the LED on the keyboard is on but i press buttons and nothing happens.
also the keyboard should auto connect when booting the Pi3 but the same happens.

i connected the keyboard to my phone and there everything works fine. waking it up from sleep mode after 3 minutes as after half an hour work like it should.

What can I do?

Are you also using the Pi3 onboard WiFi? If so then, in my experience (and emw and AlessandroFerri) I believe there is no immediate cure as the Pi3 onboard WiFi & BT don't live in complete harmony - see thread here.

Using the onboard BT without the onboard WiFi should be no problem.
Daily driver: Pi3B, 64GB Samsung Evo+ @100MHz, DVB-T, onboard WiFi for internet, BT/USB dongle for KB/mouse, 250GB HDD via USB for media, Raspbian Jessie Lite with Openbox desktop.

this guide might help https://thepihut.com/blogs/raspberry-pi ... spberry-pi
you have to manually add the keyboard mac address to the /etc/rc.local file for it to be connected at boot
